Evaluation On The Safety Of Navigation In The Bohai Sea Area

In recent years, sailing environment changes a lot and becomes more and more complicated, due to the diversification of types of vessels, large ships, high speed, traffic congestion, more bridges and harbor facilities, etc. The specific ship is steered under the given environmental conditions. In view of the dramatic changes in the shipping environment, the difficulties become larger and larger to the operation of the ship safely and efficiently under such environmental conditions.This paper is intended to set the evaluation level of the safety environment and danger degree in the channels in the Bohai Sea after analyzing some objective factors affecting the safety of the Bohai Sea, including ships, channels, environment, human factors, crew psychological quality, etc. By applying the Gray Theory and referring to some related information, this paper gives the deep qualitative and quantitative analysis of risk, determines the causes of various risks, then summarizes the various factors threatening the safety in the Bohai Sea waters and establishes the evaluation index to the risk of ship navigational environment in the channel waters. Based on the conclusions of the related study abroad and the results of the ship operation simulation as well as the experts' advice, it sets a standard of evaluation on risk degree for the required index. By employing the gray clustering and the statistical assessment in the gray system theory, it constructs an assessment model of the danger degree in channel waters. The model is applied to the specific risk assessment in the channel waters near the Bohai Sea and applicability of the model was verified. The evaluation method can be used to evaluate the danger degree of the environment of the sub fairways and then the entire fairways. Through the evaluation, you can understand and master the danger degree of the navigation environment in the waters as well as the extent to which various evaluation indexes impact on the safe navigation of ships. Finally, a scientific rational is provided for improving the navigational environment and determining the danger degree of the waters.
