ABSTRACT:The high-speed railway already became a important symbol of a country's railway technology development level, high-speed orientation of passenger transport is the world's common trend. The high-speed railway has the high degree modernized technical equipments and management means, the operation stability of the train are significantly improved compared with ordinary railway train. Timely and reliable maintenance work on EMU is necessary. EMU vehicle maintenance work plays a very important role in high-speed rail operation; it has a significant meaning regarding the high-speed railroad normal operation.This article describes the basic components of EMU and the technical characteristics, the basic theory of EMU maintenance, operation monitoring EMU, maintenance base of EMU, and also describes maintenance system of home and abroad in details. It mankes a comprehensive analysis and comparison analysis on the maintenance system of Japan, Germany, France, obtain the advanced places of overseas, and find the lack of our country's maintenance system.In combination communication technology between EMU and Ground and the EMU vehicle information integrated application management system that our laboratory developed for Beijing East EMU operation depot, according to the status of our nation EMU operation and system, raise the EMU maintenance according to condition and the monitoring-fore notice-maintenance method to key parts. Simultaneously put forward reference suggestions in making reasonable EMU maintenance process. It has reality guidance value to enhance our nation EMU status and meticulous maintenance, and has important meaning to EMU maintenance system of our country.
