As rural economy growing rapidly, people wish have better road conditions. At present, there are lots of block stone pavement to upgrade in Yunnan province. Meanwhile,there is lack of funds for rural highway construction. For that reason, the paper did some research about typical structure of new pavement so as to improve riding quality and save construction funds. On the other hand, there are some areas be lack of building stones. So it is better to make full use of local soil for road which can reduce transportation costs of stones and lower the project cost consequently. Therefore, this research is important.In the upgrading process of block stone pavement, on the basis of high strength of block stone pavement, replacing cement stabilized macadam base of with grading macadam can lower material cost and Improve the drainage. The paper did traffic grading and strength grading for asphalt pavement and cement concrete pavement overlaying on the block stone pavement. At last, the new typical pavement are recommend.On the basis of surveying distribution of soil and application of solidified soil, the peper analysed applicability of different curing agent to soil. By means of laboratory test, mixing proportion of materials is setted used for solidified soil. Construction cost was analysed. On these basis, the typical structure of solidified soil pavement is recommendBased on the construction level of rural highway in Yunnan province, the paper proposed the key technology construction and quality control standard.
