Flood control and drainage is critical for the airport, which not only determines the flood season, the rainy season, the airport can normal production, but also relates to the airport property and passengers, the lives of workers. To built the airport in the mountainous and hilly area, flood control problem is more outstanding, especially in remote mountainous area.Due to lack of the systematic observational data of thehydrological stations and related hydrological atlas manual, and some regional hydrogeology parameters are insufficiency, which make the minor watershed hydrologic calculation difficult. Therefore, flood control and drainage problems in airport construction should be given enough attention. The civil airport flood control technology for the minor watershed flood control and drainage is of important significance.The article is relying on the "Study on the Flood Control Technology of Gansu XiaHe civil airport" project,carried out the data collection,on-the-spot investigation, theoretical analysis, calculation of storm intensity formula, calculation of flood control and drainage, slope protection and so on.First, widely collectted the flood control technical material of the storm and flood domestic and abroad, through the analysis, induction, summary of the existing research results, data collection and on-the-spot investigation of the relied project,having further understanding about the landform, hydrology geology,climate vegetation and features of the storm and flood where the XiaHe airport located on.Secondly, began with the theories of flood control of the storm and flood, studied the content and method of the minor watershed flood control and drainage. Established the storm intensity formula outside of the XiaHe airport, selected the storm intensity formula inside of the XiaHe airport, finally,determined the design flow computative method for XiaHe airport,to provide the basis for the airport flood control and drainage.Then, carried out the calculation of the flood flow outside of the Xiahe airport and rainwater flow inside of the Xiahe airport water flow calculation. Through the water capacity calculation, obtained the drainage design dimensions.Finally, based on current common slope erosion protection measures induction and contrast, combined with the airport slope design profiles and regional vegetation adaptability and regional building materials investigation and analysis, proposed the protection design for the fill slope, cutting slope and the slope generate from cutting slope for meetting the flight headroom requirement protection design.
