The conventional ammunition plays a very important role in the war. It can not be replaced by other weapons as its low cost and large equipment. However, with the development of information-oriented trend, the conventional ammunition can not meet the requirements of future war. Therefore, It is necessary to improve the accuracy of conventional ammunition in the fight. Global Positioning System can provide accurate real-time location information to customers worldwide and has become the most effective way of guidance transforming of conventional munitions. The key of guidance transformation is the projectile trajectory determination of parameters in real time. Thus, The article studied the GPS positioning technology in the guidance transformation of conventional ammunition, proposed the GPS data of missile collection and storage system design plan, introduced the principle of the system and the functions of each module. First of all, collect the positioning data of GPS by DSP, then extract the location information of needed. Display the location information real-time on the LCD and store it in SD card of large capacity of storage. Next, complete the system of hardware and software design on this basis and experiment the system of data acquisition and storage of the missile GPS, including the module function verification test, static test and dynamic test. After analysis and process the data of experiment by MATLAB software, we can finally get the flight path of the shot and the positioning accuracy of system in static and dynamic environment. The results show that the GPS positioning data can be collected and stored in the way of stable and reliable.
