International Society of the United Nations Population compiled the "Demographic Dictionary" definition of population aging is this:When a country or region the proportion of people aged over 60 reached or exceeded 10% of the total population, or over the age of 65 or more total population of 7% of population, its population is referred to as "old-type people", such a society that is called "aging society." Elderly population in China is the world's largest, fastest-growing country. Since 1980, China's elderly population over the age of 60 with an average annual rate of 3% growth. "Census" results show that over the age of 65 and 65 population reached 8811 million,6.96% of total population. In 1999, China has entered the population aging society.The elderly as a special social groups, both valuable asset of society, but also has its special psychological characteristics. Solve the current problems in the city, both for the elderly afford to live and feel comfortable comfortable retirement places, aging society in China after entering an urgent problem. Firstly, starting from the social survey, the use of architecture and the basic principles of gerontology and related theories, analyzes the development status of foreign apartments for the elderly, summarizes some of the more prominent features and can learn from the experience, and older apartment buildings in our country problems were analyzed.
