| Water created life, rivers brought up human civilization. Urban wetland, as one of the factors that affects life and human civilization, not only is capable of resisting flood, regulating runoff, controling sewage, improving climate and beautifying environment, but also has the ecological and environmental functions of providing habitats for rare and endangered species and offering a variety of resources to human, which plays an critical role in the urban ecological balance system. Therefore, to set up research and practice on habitat planning in the urban wetland park, will benefit the conservation and utilization of urban wetland resources, and create appropriate habitats for wildlife to survive, in the meantime it can really make the urban wetland become a green ecological space for people recreation as well.In the very beginning, this paper summarized the related concepts of habitat, wetland, urban wetland, urban wetland park based on plenty of documentations. And also analyzed the theories of Sustainable Development, Ecological Urbanism, Landscape Ecology, Behavioral Ecology based on a large number of literature materials. After this, in accordance with present development situation study of domestic and abroad, it raised six principles of habitat planning in the urban wetland park, such as site respect, system protection, ecological priority, reasonable use, coordinated construction, public participation, and established three areas as key conservations, ecological exhibition, leisure excursion which divided by habitat planning in urban wetland park of. At the same time, according to wildlife resources, animal behaviors and potential animal habitats, it attempted to establish a body of habitat planning in the urban wetland park through overall design, terrain design, waters design, revetment design, plants arrangement, architectural design and science exhibition, which was finally carried out by landscape engineering design in the second stage of wetland in Gonghu Bay, Wuxi. |
