| With China's rapid development of socialist economic construction, especially the tilt of social construction to the central and western regions, there are more and more central and western areas of infrastructure construction projects, and the difficulty of these projects is also growing. As the central and western geographical constraints, the retaining walls must be built, so it is more and more important to build retaining walls in the central and western regions. In central and western regions, earthquakes, landslides and other natural disasters are frequent which requires higher retaining walls. Therefore the choice of retaining walls has a major impact on the seismic social and economic development. During the earthquake, the destruction of ordinary retaining wall is common. When retaining walls lateral movement, overturning, settlement, or completely collapsed occurs, it leads to great economic losses.Geocell reinforced wall is a recent development of new retaining wall which has many advantages compared with the traditional walls and it developed rapidly. Geogrid reinforced retaining wall was built to take full advantage of the raw materials of the construction site; its construction is simple and convenient. The flexible retaining walls, have a certain adaptability to the earthquake and other disasters. It has a significant deformation before failure which is a longer period for people to take early warning measures.Geocell reinforced wall has been used in engineering practice in recent years, but because of the complexity of three-dimensional reinforced earth, the theory appeared late after the phenomenon. Retaining wall is calculated using the conventional limit equilibrium method. Although it is a safe method, the calculation can only get the approximate tensile reinforcement and the failure surface does not match with the actual assumption. Many factors of soil cannot be considered, for example, the actual construction of the complex and dynamic role of factors. In this paper, as the computing platform FLAC3D of retaining walls reinforced with geocell, the separate finite element method is used. It can qualitatively analyze of geocell reinforced wall in the deformation, failure modes, and the dynamic deformation characteristics, which provide the the-oretical basis for engineering practice. |
