It is dangerous for traffic in winter when the road is covered with snow or ice. Since the traditional methods of deicing have some limitation, finding a way for deicing is significant. This paper proposed a way for deicing by using carbon/glass fiber hybrid textile reinforced concrete. This method has avoided ueing melting agent which will destroy the pavement structure and environment. High conductivity of carbon fiber and orientation effect of glass fiber form a stable electric network in concrete. Through theoretical analysis and experimental research this paper gets results as follow:1,based on the heat transfer theory, the deicing process by using carbon/glass fiber hybrid textile reinforced concrete is a nonlinear transient heat transfering with internal heat source. Under the reasonable assumption, the thermal system is simplified to two-dimensional plane models. The control differential equation and solution condition is obtained through analysis. Then the mathematical model is established. ANSYS is used to simulate the heating process of carbon/glass fiber hybrid textile reinforced concrete. And the temperature distribution in concrete is got.2,The steadiness of the fiber resistance of the carbon/glass fiber textile reinforced concrete through different surface treatments is studied by four-point bending tests. Research result shows that the resistance of fiber is steady under loading. And its steadiness is independent with different surface treatments. The small plate heating experiments of carbon/glass fiber textile reinforced concrete shows that the resistance is steady when heating power is different, the resistance is not affected in deicing process. Besides the resistance remains unchanged by repeating heating test when the temperature is changed.3,In order to validate the effect of deicing and melting snow by carbon/glass fiber textile reinforced concrete in practical application, the deicing test is done. Freezer is used to simulate low temperature enviroment. The deicing test of carbon/glass fiber textile reinforced concrete is conducted by changing the enviroment temperature, hesting power and ice thinkness. Then the influence of each factor to deicing is analized. The results of test show that when the increase of heat power, the time required to start and finish deicing is reducing but the energy consumpution and bottom highest temperature increasing. The environment temperature has no significant effect on the rising rate of temperature. The thicker the ice, the longer the time is needed, which means more energy is consumed.
