| Because of the long and cold winter, congregated houses need heating to maintain room temperature in Northern region and Northwestern region of China, where are rich in solar energy resources. This kind of heating costs a great plenty of energy every year. If we make full use of solar energy to take place of common heating method, it will greatly reduce energy consumption, and will be conducive to achieving sustainable development goals.Firstly, the writer trimmed the general theory of passive solar heating, through abundant relative literature reading. Secondly, the writer made statistical investigation and analysis of utilization of passive solar heating technology and design strategy, from awarded works in past Solar Building Design Competitions and national renewable-energy demonstration projects.Based on the summary of relative theory and strategy, the writer took part in the International Solar Building Design Competitions and designed a congregated house in Hohhot. This house was based on the analysis of the climate and natural resources conditions of Hohhot, and it was designed by passive method from three directions——overall planning, external structure design and graphic design, to make full use of solar energy. In addition to the passive solar heating, the ventilation, lighting, water conservation measures were also considered in this design, to creative a comfortable and healthy indoor living condition, and to improve the quality of living.Design combined with theory study is the most important feature of this dissertation. Finally,I sincerely hope that this research can provide effective reference and recommendations in the application of passive solar heating to congregated house in Northern Region of China. |
