With the increasing of global vehicle registration, road traffic safety problem is becoming more and more serious.Traffic accidents frequently happen, which induces the respect civil and criminal disputes. In order to solve these problems, traffic accident reconstruction becomes greatly important. Traffic accident reconstruction is a significant method for mastering accident characteristics and judging accident responsibility, which mainly depends on investigating kinds of trace and material evidence that exist on the site. As one of the main investigation material evidences exists on the site, debris has become an important basis of traffic accident reconstruction for hiding a lot of information about the traffic accident, such as crash speed, crash position and so on.Early researches majorly focus on dynamic analysis and statistical distribution experiment. Neither the research took consideration of debris'specific material character, such as the size of debris and initial falling condition which have impacts on debris'motion behavior. This made the early model's application on analysis of realistic traffic accident's reconstruction has big limits. The paper put emphasis on the material of headlamp lampshade of vehicle, using computer simulation combined with simulation experiment, doing research on debris'motion behavior character. Using crash theory constructs debris'motion behavior theory model in the condition of air resistance and ground friction. This model will provide a definite calculation method for the analysis of traffic accident reconstruction when the debris exist, which has a great realistic meaning.The paper's content as follows:In order to research the motion characteristics of plastic debris, established the simulation model by HyperMesh which has grid-design processing function and analyzed how the factors affect the motion characteristics of plastic debris. Finally, calculated the correlation of the factors in combination with simulation results through the grey theory and sort the relational series of all the factors according to the correlation.Making use of Ls-dyna, analyzed the effect that the factors to the rebound parameters according to the correlation results.Based on the Aerodynamics,collision theory and modern contact dynamics and so on, analyzed the movement of debris, then established the Theoretical model of exercise behavior, which mainly include the parameters of the Material Properties,Scattering initial conditions,and the size of debris and so on.The paper do debris simulation experiment using Vehicle Crash Debris Simulation Test Device and compare simulation results with test results; at the same time, through high speed camera monitor and record debris'motion behavior; in the end, verify theory model's effectiveness through realistic traffic accident.Through lucubrating for debris, this paper established debris'kinematics theory model and provided theoretical basis for utilizing debris in the reconstruction analysis of traffic accident.
