Anchorage technique in rock-soil field is one important branch of the realm of immediate geotechnical engineering. In recent years this branch has been developed very fast, and the prospect is very bright. In the modernized society which is developing rapidly, anchorage technique in rock-soil construction will play a greater role in geotechnical engineering, especially application of headed end anchor using in deep foundations, will bring vaster potential for future development.This paper mostly studies the mechanism and principle of load transfer of headed end anchor, and reached conclusions are as following:Firstly, the text mainly explains the construction and principle of anchorage of headed end anchor, and analyzes the academic calculation formula of end pressure and skin friction so that it can provide some references for the designs of the headed end anchor to a certain extent.Secondly, through the situ test of engineering, this paper analyzes the mechanical mechanism of the headed end anchor's mechanism in different soil horizons and geological structures. This mechanism is divided into three stages: the first stage is friction period. In this period, the main force is the lateral friction of anchorage segment, thus the headed end anchor can be classified as friction type. The second stage is friction and pressure period. The most prominent feature is that there is a turning point of end pressure in the curve. Being bounded by the turning point of end pressure, headed end anchor turns from friction period to friction and pressure period. The third stage is the plastic region development period. The main feature is that the surrounding soil body of the anchor is crushed and intensified continuously which leads the end pressure to grow larger, thus enhances anchorage force of headed end anchor.Thirdly, it uses the finite element method software Ansys to analyze headed end anchor and compares with the results of the situ testing. It can help to deduce the distribution of axial force and lateral friction of the headed end anchor. It can also deduce the effects of the diameter of headed end anchor on the ultimate bearing capacity.
