Star sensor is a high accuracy measuring device for attitude remote sensing, it uses the centroid of disc of confusion on it's detector target, which is generated from the position of different fixed stars in space, to determine satellite's attitude. Star sensor's optical system with significant feature is little distortion, big sphere aberration, wide field of view, and large relative aperture. According to appraisal contents for great astigmation optical system's imaging quality, and based on the research about methods for measuring disc of confusion, chromatic aberration, and distortion, this paper develops an automatic test equipment for star sensor's optical system with high accuracy.The paper introduces the working principle of star sensor, and the specific astigmation requirements for the optical system, according to the principles of this optical system's astigmation with disc of confusion, chromatic aberration and distortion, it introduces the new test principles and calculating methods for measuring disc of confusion, chromatic aberration, and distortion.According to the new test principles of star sensor's optical system, the paper studys a new test equipment with full automaticity and high degree of accuracy for the star sensor's optical system, and makes a detail demonstratio and analyse about the qualification and the design proposal for each components.The paper introduces the assemblage method for the test equipment's components of the star sensor's optical system, and carries out a optimization on assemblage error of each components. At the same time, it propounds the calibration methods for target simulator and micro measurement system, and according to the calibration measurement for subsystems, it offers a calibration result.The paper discusses how the errors of test equipment's components of the star sensor's optical system will influent the test result, mainly analyses the accuracy influence brought from measurement errors of disc of confusion and distortion. According to theoretical calculation, the measurement accuracy of disc of confusion is 0.4μm, as well as the distortion is 0.005%. At the same time, it contrasts to the reality test result, indicating the result about theoretical calculation and reality testing is uniformity, and the test accuracy satisfies the requirement.
