Environmental pollution is a serious problem that human beings must face today, while manufacturing industry is the backbone of a country's economy, it is one of the main causes of the resource depletion and environment pollution. Therefore, the green design of electromechanical product is an important way to solve an environmental problem. Because the green characteristics of electromechanical products are embodied throughout their entire product life-cycle, the question of how to design green products at the design phase can be answered by excellent designers via not only advanced design methods but also effective assessment methods of electromechanical products. However, until now there is no consistent and standard criterion on what is a green product, how to assess green design objectively and scientifically and obtain accurate assessment data. Objective and precise assessment of green design is one of the problems that must be solved when green design is conducted.By analyzing the analysis of current product assessment methods, this thesis puts forward the method of green design assessment of electromechanical products based on Group AHP (Group Analytic Hierarchy Process), together with the characteristics of green products and the concept of entire product life-cycle. The main thesis research includes:1. Discussing the meaning of green products, analyzing green product life-cycle, and establishing life-cycle structural model of a green product.2. Investigating the principles of green design assessment indices, and proposing a dynamic and general index system for green design assessment that meets the different needs, which is based on various prior index systems.3. Studying Group AHP, and establishing the steps of green design assessment for electromechanical products.4. Establishing the flow of green design for electromechanical products and the method to collect assessment data, and proposing the improvements to extract assessment information.5. Developing green design software based on client/server architecture.6. Assessing a refrigerator's green design, and then analyzing assessment results and feeding back useful suggestions.
