Compound detecting system has become a trend of detecting guidance field. Radar/Infrared compound detecting can enhance anti-jamming ability, and improve target orientation accuracy. In this paper, the research work is based on the software and hardware development of information fusion algorithms of compound detecting system.Firstly, the general situation of the Compound detecting system and the related theory of information fusion in common use are described, such as muti-target tracking, time and space aligning, track association, track fusion, and target decision-making, this paper analyses and compares the characteristics of various algorithms. Based on those introductions, this paper improves information fusion algorithms of compound detectingsystem, including muti-target tracking algorithm and track processing algorithm, this paper also simulates and generates the observed data to verify the information fusion algorithm. Finally, this paper introduces the software and hardware development of information fusion algorithm of compound detecting system. This paper introduces hardware platform and design principle of the information fusion processing system, including the design of communication interface and operation unit, and evaluates function and capability of the information fusion processing system through the experiment on the PC. This experiment shows the information fusion algorithm has anti-jamming ability, improves better target orientation accuracy than single-modesystem, and has better real-time characteristic.
