Research On The Landscape Planning And Design Of Street Greenbelt In Guangzhou Science City

Guangzhou Science City (GSC) is located in the northeast of Guangzhou, which covers an area of 37.47 square kilometers in total. GSC is under the administration of Guangzhou Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (GHIDZ). The spatial layout of GSC mainly covers along the mountain valley. The spatial layout of GSC together with the six functional groups (micro-electronics, information industry group, bio-engineering industry group, new materials & Energy Industrial group, the management service center group, living groups, and other high-tech industry group) form a space structure which is organized in a certain order separated by the existing mountains and roads.In the introduction, this paper discusses the significance and background of this study. This study mainly describes the current study situation on cities both domestic and abroad. In addition to Shenzhen, Foshan and Hong Kong, the three southern subtropical cities in China, some cities in Singapore and Germany also get involved in this study. The methods and contents are also introduced and the previous studies on the cities enable the author analyze the data and conclusions and put forward the argument of the thesis.In the body of the study, the concept of landscape planning and design of street greenbelt is introduced first, and then its influence and function follow. There are also some notes and planning forms about landscape planning and design of street greenbelt in this part. In addition, the design principles and guidelines of the transport network of GSC are introduced in the following part, which is based on its theoretical basis.Thereafter, the author tries to analyze some representative roads of GSC from the perspectives of projects designing and present situation analyzing. The representative roads includes both arterial streets and collector streets, such as Kaitai Road, Kaicuang Road, Science Road, Yonghe Road, Guangpu Road, Xinyangdong Road, Xinyangxi Road, Xingui Road, Xinrui Road, Nanyizong Road, Nangerzong Road, and GHI lines. Based on the study on the roads and the greenbelt of the street, this study tries to analyze and solve the existing problems.Finally, this study sums up the present situation and experience of the greenbelt of the streets in GSC. Then, a conclusion was drawn based on the previous analysis. The author also put forward a series of suggestions and guidelines for the landscape planning and design of street greenbelt in GSC (Guangzhou Development Zone, Luogang District), which also includes the guidelines for design of the greenbelt of the streets, the plants and some other public areas.
