With the social and economic development and science and technology continues toprogress, spatial structure has also been continuous development. In various types of spatialstructure, grid structure is undoubtedly the fastest growing and most widely applied. This ismainly because the grid structure has good applicability, appearance, reliability, safety andeconomy, and can across a larger span, which meet the needs of large space building ofPeople.This article begins with the type of spatial structures and the history of it's development,leads to the grid structure features and development status, then further analysis of the bar andnode designs of the grid structure, and deeply discuss the calculation method,principle anddesigns. In addition, according to the work practice of the grid structure of a schoolgymnasium as an example, this article carried out the following two aspects of work:1. Selected by four different types and forms of nodes of calculation model, the gridstructures were calculated. Based on the results to compare their deformation, force andeconomic performance, to identify the structure and load case factor of grid structure, anddetermine the project to Bolted spherical joints and Square Pyramid grid structure finally.2. This article also has elaborated the construction plan and technical measures of thegrid structure in detail, and analyzed of the problem which should be paid attention to inconstruction process.The issues related to this article can be used as the same type of engineering designersand construction workers for reference.
