The motor train sets scheduling problem is one of the basic operating problems for the passenger dedicated lines. Because of the expensive cost of purchase and maintenance, it is necessary to make the good use of them.Through analyzing the restriction factors of the motor train sets scheduling, this paper provides the evaluation indexes of the motor train sets scheduling, as well as calculation model and algorithm optimization.?Based on the domestic and foreign research results,this paper uses the research technique which can combine the qualitative analysis with the quantitative evaluation, describe the meaning of motor train sets scheduling, analyze the influence factors in the weaving of motor train sets scheduling, establish the principles and evaluation criterions for the weaving of motor train sets scheduling. The algorithm considers many constraint conditions of the problem, including distribution of the mending times among different bases on the basis of their capacities and so on. The software of the motor train set scheduling system is developed for the dedicated passenger lines which may present the train sets routing scheduling, the time, location and level of maintenance. Lots of valuable research results are provided for the comprehensive use and maintenance management of motor train sets through a variety of ways for passenger traffic.?The system was developed in windows environment by using C# language as the integrated development platform.
