Research On Zero-Waste-Packaging Design

In 2008, China(excluding Hongkong,Macao and Taiwan ) made 860 billion yuan by the gross output value of packaging industry, which made her the second largest country of packaging in the world. According to the expectation of the chinese packaging headquarters, in 2009 , compared with the same period of the previous year ,the gross output value of packaging industry would increase by 35%.Zero-waste-packaging is a currently emerging idea of packaging,which developed originaly from the green design. The aim of zero packaging is to,by reducing the nummer of package layers and the processes,increase the utilization of resource, then to eliminate the unnecessary package and even to abandon the package at all,in some special situations.Even in other coutries stays zero-waste-packaging still in a plane of exploratory study. Because it's not simply equal to reduce the package to non-package, in all situations.First of all ,it would be searched and analysised in this essay, from the chinese traditional phylosphy spirit and the ideas of aesthetics, the compared concept of"zero", which would be furthermore proved by combining with some foreign theories and practices.Secondly,by comparing the differences and realitivities between zero-waste-packaging and green packaging, by searching for the capbility, the method of design ,the standards of evaluation and the controltablility in the whole process, this essay is to explore the congruence between zero-waste-packaging and recycling economy in the perspective of social reality. Thirdly, by critisizing the overdoing of packaging, especially by analysising the special demands lying in the online shopping, which is such a brand new way of buying nowadays, this essay will conclude a further solution for the zero-waste-packaging design, in oder to provide some references for the adjustment of packaging economy structure and the sustainable development packaging industry in our country.
