H-beam with corrugated webs as a new form of flexural members, because of high bearing capacity, it has been applied to projects such as Bridges, municipal engineering field. some conclusions about H-beam with corrugated webs are acquired by Many domestic and foreign scholars, but have great limitations in actual project. In order to make the H-beam with corrugated webs in building engineering can be used, the scope and depth in the study should be increased, now has become a hot topic in the research.In this paper, on the basis of preceding research ,analysis on capacity of the corrugated web steel beam has been performed with the finite element analysis method, and some useful conclusion and new ideas are obtained. The main work and conclusions are as follows:First, from the previous research achievements, it is introduced in details about theoretical basis of analysis to assembling H-beam with corrugated webs with finite element method, mechanical analysis of H-beam with corrugated webs and ordinary H steel beam by the finite element software ANSYS has been carried out, it is obtained the conclusion that corrugated web steel beam has more bearing capacity and higher resistance to deformation, which is in accordance with preceding research results.Second, analysis and calculation to the various influencing factors of H-beam with corrugated webs-bearing capacity is performed. These factors are corrugated shape, overall dimensions, initial deflects and whole loading conditions. Buckling coefficient, buckling modes and load and displacement curve of corrugated web steel beam under the action of the above-mentioned factors are obtained, the influence of various factors has been summarized to optimize this kind of structural component, it is also enforced the theoretical basis to improve its bearing capacity and comprehensive mechanical properties.Again, through the Pedestrian bridge of engineering examples, further research of the corrugated steel bearing capacity and perforation has been carried out, and through the theoretical formula of calculation and finite element analysis, results were compared and summarized. Former scholars has demonstrated through theoretical analysis and experimental research that corrugated web steel beam is higher in stability. In the part of actual project, the stability of the beam are emphatically analyzed. At the same time, comparison between H-beam with corrugated webs and ordinary H beam is carried out on the target for same total steel quantity, many advantages in practical engineering of the corrugated web steel beam is obtained. Finally, the paper puts forward the limitations, and points out the research focus and following work to be done.
