With the development of power electronics and digital signal processor and power devices, inverter is moving in high efficiency, small size and digital control. Wide range input inverter has wide application in aerospace, aviation, marine, electric power, telecommunications and other fields. It also has a wide range of applications in the solar power and photovoltaic power system, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and digital welding machine today.This paper introduces the application and the research field of inverter, and then analyzes the wide range input inverter topology. The project is how to design a wide range input inverter whose capacity is 7KW. With the issues of technical indicators, this paper selects the appropriate topology, choices two converter structures, the first stage is the Boost circuit, which converts the wide range of voltage input to a relatively small voltage range, and then the second is the full-bridge SPWM inverter which output a pure sine wave with LC filter.in this design the processor were used the New Hualong company's C8051F340 MCU and TI's TMS320F2812 DSP to control two-stage converters. This paper analyzed two-stage converter how to work and calculated the parameters of converters and determined the control method and System flowchart. With the comparison of various sampling methods it determined to use asymmetric regular sampling method SPWM control. In order to obtain the waveform which is steady-state accuracy and dynamic response, it used the double closed-loop of front voltage and end voltage control samples. It proposed a wide range input inverter control method to improve the dynamic response.This paper also describes the design of the various auxiliary circuits, such as the sampling circuit design, the DSP interface circuit, the auxiliary power supply, the protection circuit and so on. Finally, by using of Matlab Simulink software simulation it verified the parameters of this design correct and the control method possible and effective.
