It is difficult to design a control system of marine nuclear power plant because of the mathematical model is nonlinear and dynamic uncertain and primary parameters are strongly coupling. Because of changing loads frequently the target of response time and security of the nuclear power plant is higher especially changing load at a wide range. So it is baptism to design the control system of the marine nuclear power plant. The simulation system of MRX marine nuclear power plant was established based on mathematical models which was developed and control methods of the system were researched in this paper.In this paper the simulation system of the MRX marine nuclear power plant was made up according to characteristics of which based on the mathematical models of integrated reactor, once-through steam generator(OTSG), steam turbine and condenser. The dynamic of system of open loop was simulated was to and the result indicated that the system was generally consistent with dynamic characteristic of the nuclear power plant, and it laid the foundation for the control method and control strategy.PID controllers were designed for core average temperature, outlet steam pressure of OTSG, turbine speed, condenser pressure and water level based on the system of the MRX marine nuclear power plant above mentioned. And load changing of system was simulated.Feed water controller of fuzzy neural network of OTSG and speed controller of fuzzy PID of composted of turbine were designed and simulated then Coordinated control ideology dealing with the large scale system's problems was introduced to the MRX marine nuclear power plant control system and the second-order coordinated control system of MRX marine nuclear power plant was designed with that the tow controllers above-mentioned were as the local controllers after analyzing the simulation results and PID control results and referencing relational literature and according to structure and operating characteristics of MRX marine nuclear power plant. The raise load and down load were simulated, and the results showed better quality of control with the PID control result. The researches of this paper are worth to be referenced for designed the real control system of the marine nuclear power plant.
