The Research On Plant Landscape Of Buddhism Temple Garden In Nanyue Hengshan

Temple garden is one of the three Chinese classical gardens,which holds the important status in the Chinese classical gardens. temple garden not only acts as a place where human express their religious belief,but also as a famous traveling resort for public.Plant landscape is an important component part of temple garden, and plays as an important media with which human express their religious belief and transfer the religious culture at the same time. The plant landscape in temple garden is different from other classical garden in plant choice and design method, it has accumulated a profound culture of the religion and traditional garden content.This paper selects the Nanyue Hengshan Buddhist temple garden as researching object, analysed the plant landscape of exterior garden space and interior garden space. At last Summarized it's significance for construction of plant landscape to modern city from 3 aspects:choice of plant, function of plant landscape and community methods.After analysed the choice of plant in interior temple garden space from artistic constitution, Religious idea and efficiency, paper analysed the current plant disposition status by using community methods, including the community species composition and quantitative features etc. Based on this, paper elaborated the plant landscape of temples construction, temple path,temple water,rocks and other elements according to plant landscape design principle.Commonly used plant species and some basic idea and technique of plant construction in interior temple garden space had been dissertated,at the same time, name list of commonly used plant and ancient famous tree in Nanyue Hengshan temple garden were established to provide reference for construction of modern city plant landscape and protection of ancient trees.Design methods of modern city plant landscape should also follow the development law of natural forest community, attach importance to species, structure, Level,physiognomy and species diversity. Therefore, paper selects natural forest community in CriptureLibrary and Shangfengtemple as researching objects to analyse the plant landscape of exterior temple garden space. Based on the data of the investigation, an analysis on the physiognomy and structure of 2 forest community was made from species composition, life form and leaf characteristics etc, at the same time, analysed biodiversity of 2 forest community according to diversity index and important value of species which calculated by mathematical model. The results indicated that both of the 2 forest community has high species richness and species diversity indices. According to the dominant species, the 2 forest community were named as Cy. Multinervis+C eyrei+F.lucida+L. cleistocarpus—C.cuspidata community and Cy.Multinervis+L.henryi+ F.lucida—C.cuspidata community separately.Based on the research, Some suggestions to the plant landscape construction of buddhism temple garden in Nanyue Hengshan were summed up as follows:1. Religious culture characteristic should be maintained in the additional plant landscape.2. The ancient trees in temple garden should be protected.3. Strengthen maintenance and management of plants in interior temple garden space.4. Strengthen protection of natural forest community in exterior temple garden space.
