The extreme weather is more and more common in recent years.In our country. The Construction Agriculture sudden heavy snow and ice storms in facilities in China has caused tremendous damage, especially the greenhouses by the sudden heavy snow and ice storms, the greenhouses in the affected areas were even collapsed. The shortcomings of the traditional greenhouse exposed in inclement weather. Thus, In order to avoid these disadvantages, people began turning to the membrane structures which developed rapidly in recent years. The membrane structure system was applied to the greenhouse construction, to develop the new types of tension-type greenhouse, which improve the shortcomings of the traditional greenhouses at this stage in China that small span, low intensityand the low degree of mechanization, and provide a new alternative to replace the traditional structure for the Construction Agriculture.In this paper, according to the result of previous workers, we have the form-finding analysis for the tension-type greenhouse membrane structure, to study the form-finding features; meanwhile, on the base of the tension-type greenhouse membrane structure's form-finding analysis, we make the wind-induced response analysis for the structure, to study the wind-resistance characteristics, and draw some useful conclusions.On the form-finding analysis, this paper directed towards the geometrically nonlinear characteristics of the tension-type greenhouse membrane structure, based on nonlinear finite element theory, use the bearing upgrade method which is based on a small elastic modulus to make the form-finding analysis of the membrane structure. And use the other common types of membrane structures, the umbrella-type membrane structures to make the form-finding analysis for comparison, to study the characteristics of the membrane structure.For the Wind-induced response,since the tension-type greenhouse membrane structure own the light weight, low vibration frequency and large deformation and vibration on the wind loads. It is the typical of flexible architecture and very sensitive on the wind loads,which is improtant for its wind study. In this paper,we make the modal analysis for the membrane structure, to study the natural vibration characteristics; and we make the artificial simulation to fluctuating wind loads and analyze the force condition of the greenhouse membrane structure which on the fluctuating wind time history, to study the wind-induced response situation.
