Electromagnetic vibration exciter is a kind of device which provide vibrational source without contacting. The hammer is driven by electromagnetic force produced by the loop which is electrifying. When the device works, the hammer has a large impacting force. The hammer will be destroyed by high-frequency impacting. The life of the hammer will be reduced quickly. And these will affect the unitary capability of the device. In order to solve this engineering problem, a spring with appropriate parameter should be set into the device.Spring is a kind of mechanical part. Because of its elasticity and structural characteristic, spring can deform and store up the energy. And by this way the spring works. At present, there are many kinds of spring used in engineering, such as cylinder spiral spring,laminated spring,hydraulic pressure spring,air spring and rubber spring. In this paper, the rubber is decided to be used in the Impacting Machine, on the base of studying the function and the characteristic of all kinds of springs. And it works as a buffer.Rubber belongs to high polymer. It can endure the pressure,friction and impact. It has great elasticity. When the external force works, it can deform greatly. And when the external force disappears, its shape recover as before. This typical deforming course is very complex. In this course, there are large deform and large strain. Otherwise, the rubber is a kind of nonlinear material, and its volume is almost invariant. All of above make the dynamics analysis and parameters select very difficult. Regard to this kind of material, both the material nonlinear and the geometrically nonlinear should be thinks over. To the nonlinear problems, both the study of the theory and practical operation are difficult and complex, In theory, all the nonlinear continuous mechanical problems can be solved with the nonlinear equation. But, it is very difficult to solve the nonlinear equation in mathematics. And it is not easy to obtain the accurate result. Therefore, to solve the complex practical problems, the effective method is to find out all kinds of approximative result and analytic result. In this paper, nonlinear finite element method about the rubber spring has been study.In this paper, polyurethane is selected to make the rubber spring, on the base of studying about the mechanical capability and material characteristic of the rubber spring. Through studying the constitutive law of the rubber and stretches test of polyurethane, the material parameters were obtained. And the parameters were used in the kinetic simulation of rubber spring. Finally, the notional model of nonlinear spring, used in electromagnetic vibration exciter, was built. Furthermore, a test about the sample had been put in practice in this paper, and the result of the test compare to the result of simulation is comparatively accordant. In a word, the study of this paper have instructional and referenced value when designing and improving the electromagnetic vibration exciter.
