The slagging and difficult ignition of pulverized coal on coal-fired boiler has posed a grave threat to safety and economy of the boiler for a long time in our country, because lots of tinpot and manifold coal is used in thermal plant.Aim at slagging on coal-fired boiler, some research about blending coal's effect on tinpot coal has done in this article. The result show, the ash fusion temperature of the blended coal presents significantly irregular. The minerals transition processes of blended coal-ashes were indicated by XRD, the data shows that much minerals such as hematite, anhydrite not only consume some high-melting-point like quartz, but also have the effects of inhibiting mullite production. These minerals can reduce the coal ash fusion temperature dramatically. Some experiments of blended coals were carried out in a drop tube furnace to simulate the slagging processes in the power plant boilers and the SEM techniques was used to analyze the surface morphology of the residue. These works have done to look forward to find the method to modify slagging on coal-fired boiler.Specific to the difficult ignition of anthracite, the catalysis effect of seven various industry wastes, which is added into anthracite has been studied on a thermogravimetric analyzer. The results show that some industry wastes have a better effect on reducing the ignition temperature of the coal. Catalytic mechanism is discuss to analyze the cause according to the composition of the industry waste, At last, some experiments have been done on blending waste, this can provide foundation for the production of new and cheap catalyst on coal combustion.
