Due to rotating machinery is taking more and more important part in many fiels such as power system, transportation, national defense and chemical industry, etc., consequently, the study of dynamics of rotating machinery receives more and more recognition. And so it signifies much to study the vibration testing analysis and the technology to diagnosis the faults. In order to provide an effective tool to easy the analysis of raotordynamics and fault diagnosis, a rotor dynamics analysis and testing system was developed. With the Object-Oriented technique, the system was programmed by C++/Foratran language based on Visual C++ environent. The system contained two main parts which are rotor dynaminc FEA and vibration testing. For the rotor dynaminc finite element analysis, it included preprocess, solution and postprocess and respectively completeed FEA modeling, modal analysis and dynamic response calculating and results visualization. And for the vibration testing part, it included signal processing in time domain, frequency domain and time-frequency domain, which can complete the calculation and display of waveform, shaft orbit, amplitude spectral, power spectral,3-D spectral array and 2-D holospectrum. The system is a useful tool for rotor dynamic analysis and fault identification based on FEM. Meanwhile, it has been validated by comparing with the results computed by other software. In addition, the system presents novelty including user-friendly interfaces, convenient operation mode, and flexibility of migration.
