The line loss rate is an important technical and economic indicator in power production, and also is the symbol to measure technical level and management level of the power enterprise. To decrease the line loss is the main method to improve the enterprise economic efficiency and energy saving. In 2008, Guangzhou line loss rate theoretical calculation showed that 10kv and below the distribution line loss is 73.6%. Therefore, the power distribution network is the greatest potential part for the line loss decrease in the power supply system, and the power distribution network also provide direct services to users, so the decrease line loss and improve the power quality means a lot to improve the social efficiency of power industry. However, the workload of the line loss calculation is very heavy, and also need to deal with a lot process data, especially 10kv and the following with the network's line loss data collection and input work, with many network node, many branch lines and numbers of multi-component, so the key to calculate the line loss efficiently and accurately is to reduce the workload of data collection and input of the power network.Guangzhou power supply Bureau's existing GIS systems is full of lower voltage network data, and can get basic data and topology of distribution network through GIS system ; by measurement can be automated system for electrosurgical generator power and there is no merit in the end of a scada system power; and the SCADA systenn for line loss provides data source. So we can make the existing theorietical line loss of the software and GIS systems and automated system of measurement scada system, a combined integrated into the theory is based on GIS line loss analysis systems, It can avoid complicated process of data input manually, reduce the workload, but also get the basic data of theoretical line loss calculation more fast and timely ,and also shorten the calculation circle, and the calculation of the theoretical line loss is more close to the actual value, and also provide the platform for the real-time calculation of the theoretical line loss.
