Distribution network line loss is an important economic indicator of power grid enterprises, calculating theoretical line loss of distribution network quickly and accurately, it can find the distribution of grid power loss, then analyzed to discover the existence of management and technical problems, providing scientific support tools for the rapid assessment of the power grid enterprise.This article proposes theoretical line loss calculation method based on system cluster and FOA-SVR for distribution network, system clustering algorithm divides the sample data into several internal similar data groups, can simplify the nonlinear relationship between characteristic parameters and line loss, making the simulation modeling of SVR convenient, improving the accuracy of the model, and fruit flies optimization to search the optimal training parameters for SVR,to get the optimal calculation model.Calculating two practical line data of different sizes of distribution network, and compared to non-optimized SVR and GA-SVR. It can be seen from the calculation simulation results that FOA-SVR model is simple, prediction effect of test set is the best, highly accuracy, absolutely relative error percentage is the minimum, has a strong ability to promote generalization.To be able to more quickly carry out large area distribution network line loss calculation, proposing a based on substation data method of distribution network line loss calculation, input and output data are total substation data, in order to reduce the dispersion of data, proposing two methods of data transformation, modeling and simulating 25 substations data of Guangzhou, analyzing the clustering tree diagrams and absolutely relative error percentage, it concluded that the first transformation method is better.
