Energy Conservation by frequency control is reducing the speed of the equipment by frequency control to achieve the purpose of saving energy. Frequency control is an important technical method for the energy conservation of induction motors. With the rapid development of electronic technology,the frequency control systems are widely used. Increasing the output of the power plant by frequency control is very important for reducing costs, increasing efficiency and promoting technological progress.Guangdong Huizhou LNG power plant is one of the largest projects matching with the Guangdong liquid natural gas project (LNG). 3×390MW gas-steam combined cycle units of Huizhou LNG power plant operated with 2 shifts mode,with fast start and stop and fast load adjustment,the units can quickly run a wide range of adjustment during the power system load,and it played a very important role on the electricity gird.Based on Huizhou LNG power plant renovation project,we analyzed the practice application of energy conservation by frequency control in this paper. We put forward energy reservation by frequency control applied in Huizhou LNG power plant .(1)We analyzed and calculated the economical efficiency of the energy conservation by frequency control in Huizhou LNG power plant project according to characteristic and running condition of condensate system. We analyzed the application of frequency control technology in order to get ready for the project.(2)We made the selection of high-voltage converter equipment for Huizhou LNG power plant renovation project.(3)We made up the scheme including main system and electric protection and DCS logic control technology.(4)evaluate the effects of project reform.
