Welding technology is all essential industrial technology meansduring the machinery processing industry, and it plays a very impotantrole in the economic construction. Smoke and dust produced by weldingtechnology are almost harm, and endanger workers'health greatly.So forwelding workshop,it is very important to take appropriate ventilatingmeasures to control the fume concentration.Compared with the traditional mixing ventilation ,displacementventilation,as a new type of air-conditioning strategy, has showedremarkable advantages on many occasions. However,in China ,theresearch and application of this system is still beginning up to now. So,this article will use the CFD numerical simulation method to investigateand analyze the airflow and particle dispersion in a displacementventilated room.This article summarizes the technical problems of the currentgovernance of welding fume, and present the possibility to solve largeplant's smoke and dust's emissioning by using displacement ventilationair distribution. Then it introduces the composition of welding fume andthe basic principle of its diffusion , and reviews the theory Course of thegovernance of welding fume and the current situation in domestic andoverseas. Finally this article tests concentration of welding fumes ondifferent conditions.The result of this reserch includes the following aspects:(1) When other factors are constant, the flow in welding plant issimulated at 17℃,20℃and 23℃, and the results show that the lower thesupply air temperature , ithe more easy in excluding contaminants.(2) When other factors are constant, the flow in welding plant issimulated at 2.2m/s,2.75m/s and 3.3m/s, and the results show that thegreater the air velocity, more beneficial in reducing the indoortemperature and excluding contaminants. But it is wrong to rise thevelocity too large, because if the velocity of the workplace is more than0.5 m/s, it will affect people's comfort.(3) When other factors are constant, the flow in welding plant aresimulated on 0.5m,1.0m and 1.5m where the bottom of air funnel lies, and the results show that the installation height of air funnel whichdepends on the height of the welding points should not be too high or toolow,...
