The Research On Garden City Construction

This paper studied the development process of national garden cities and garden cities of Zhejiang, introducing the origin of national garden city construction and the development course of national garden city standards and review methods. In the research on the developing situation of national garden city construction, the analysis of the twelve group garden cities in elected time and distribution showed that: 1992 to 2003 was a stable development period of garden cities in our country, and the number of garden city was increasing steadily. 2005 till now was a fast development period of garden cities in our country, although the number changed anomalously, the totality increased rapidly, and the related indexes had a certain improvement as well; garden cities of our country were in uneven distribution. The eastern provinces had larger proportion, and development of the Midwest and the northeast area was relatively slower. Through the development analysis of national garden cities and garden cities of Zhejiang, it revealed that 2003 till now was high speed developing period. The garden city development of Jiaxing, Huzhou and Shaoxing was in the first rank, while the construction process in Wenzhou, Lishui and Zhoushan was relatively backward. Economic and natural conditions were the main reasons in garden city distribution of our country and Zhejiang.This paper respectively introduced the review standards and methods of national garden cities and garden cities of Zhejiang. Meanwhile, it took Pinghu and Deqing for example, analyzing their work contents in declaring"garden city of Zhejiang"and"national garden city"from organization leadership, management system, landscape protection, greening construction, garden building, ecological environment and municipal facilities, obtaining the experience and deficiency in building garden cities.
