The wind farm installed capacity has continued to grow as our wind power development, so the grid-connected wind turbine has a great influence on the power system. The voltage-reactive is a key technical problem in the large-scale wind farm operation.The design method of dynamic reactive power compensation for wind farm is studied based on the voltage-reactive problem as the main topic in this thesis. The operation characteristics of grid-connected wind power are summarized and analyzed. In addition, the software of optimal reactive power compensation system is designed on this basis. Firstly, this paper researches the role and mode of reactive power compensation for wind farm, the characteristics and working principle of wind generators and compensation equipment for wind farm. The simulation model is builted in power system analysis software (PSASP) based on the Hui teng liang wind farm. Through detailed flow calculation and analysis, the main purpose of reactive power compensation is researched deeply in the wind farm planning and design process. The design method of reactive power compensation for wind farm is gived in detail, including the determination of reactive power compensation point, the compensation capacity and compensation equipment. The dynamic reactive power compensation simulation is carried out according to the actual conditions of Hui teng liang wind farm of Nei meng gu. The simulation results show that the reactive power compensation is effective. The software of optimal reactive power compensation system can complete the calling and calculation analysis for the power flow calculation data. The optimal compensation scheme can be geted based on the comprehensive comparison of various compensation schemes.The simulation results show that the the voltage of nodes can be in line with the operational requirements, and the active power loss can be reduced after the reactive power compensation for wind farm. The software has excellent man-machine exchange interface display, the parameters can ba inputted and modified easily. It is generality and expansibility, can be used in other wind farms.
