The mining deep and the scale of abandoned stope is continuously augmgenting as the demand for mineral resources increase more and more for satisfying the need of human development, which lead to the deformation of overburden and subsidence of earth surface are more and moer serious. It put sorely impact on the peoples'life and production action, at the same time it cause heavy economic losses. The mining with filling in goaf provides advantages for the rational mining of coal under buildings, railroads and water bodies.Similar material simulation test is on the basis of similarity theory, by means of certain similar materials building physical parameters, and established Similar model with actual mining condition to study some practical engineering problems.Paper aimed at practice study of surface subsidence by backfill mining, based on the theory of similar material simulation experiment,on the analysis on the basis of existing research results, Using similar material simulation experiment, establish three kinds of similar materialbackfill mining. Model with simulation of the process of three kinds of filling material backfill mining face advance, using optical lens conducted a detailed observations on the surface and overburden moving,in observation data processing and analysis , combining the theoretical analysis and similar material simulation test with engineering examples, through calculation and analysis obtained of the surface and overburden movement that on backfill mining conditions , the relationship between filling material strength and subsidence coefficient and spatiotemporal relationship of goaf filling, the research results has provided references for the effective execution of mining with filling in goaf.
