In this paper, on the basis of previous investigation of SMA strand-laminated rubber compound bearing, a new type of damping and dissipation devices named SMA semi-active control isolation bearing is developed which takes advantage of temperature sensor controller and exert Shape Memory Effect of SMA.Firstly, the investigation, development and related mechenism of structure control technique, isolation technique, base isolation technique, isolation technique based on rubber bearings and SMA are introduced in the dissertation. It analyse advantages and disadvantages of laminated rubber bearings and SMA compount bearings. The SMA semi-active control isolation bearing is put forward. The stress rationality and SMA-Stra nd arrangement mode of the bearing are analysed theoretically. The working mechanism under earthquake action is also explained. Motion equations of single-degree-of-freedom isolation system are established which is under the condition of three different kinds of supports, such as common bearing, SMA compound bearing and SMA semi-active control isolation bearing. The modal analysis and time history analysis of three-layer frame structure have been done. The displacement and acceleration are compared to check and verify Energy dissipation and damping effect of structure based on SMA semi-active control isolation bearing. The results show that:(1)SMA-strand not only increaces the horizontal recovery ability of this bearing, but also improve its anti drawing ability. The bearing combines with temperature sensor controller. If relative displacement goes beyond the limit, switch is shut, then Martensite changes into Austenite and its elastic modulus is improved. If relative displacement doesn't go beyond the limit, switch is off and SMA is Martensite Phase. The whole process shows the adaptive ability of the new bearing. It overcomes less recovery stress and worse adaptive ability of other bearing.(2)The isolation system all have good aseismic behaviors, which bases on Laminated Rubber Bearing, SMA compound Bearing and SMA semi-active control isolation bearing. (3)The SMA semi-active control isolation bearing have better isolation effect than others. It sufficiently validate that the newly development bearing has good Energy dissipation and damping ability. The semi-active control comes true.
