As the significant platform to battle on the sea, warships always suffer attacks in all directions. There are many big differences between water and air, so an explosion in the water will induce more serious damages than in the air. Underwater explosion has been studied for a long time. Varieties of analysis and research methods are used in the field.In this thesis, the dynamic response of the structures subjected underwater explosive loading is studied using numerical simulation method.First, a review of the computation methods of dynamic response of a simple ship model subjected to underwater explosion loads is made. Comparison of the numerical results with the testing result validated the computation method used in this thesis.Second, design three ship models whose cross section underwater are triangle, round and rectangle respectively. Through numerical experiments, the influence of ship'cross section underwater to dynamic response of ship caused by shock wave is analyzed.Third, compute the plates'accelerations and stresses of vacant cabin in the states of full-loaded with liguid, half-loaded with liguid and light-loaded without any liquid. The influence of ballast water on the dynamic response of ship caused by shock wave is thus obtained.Finally,the dynamic response of a whole ship subjected to underwater explosion load is numerically analyzed.The research of this thesis is supported by Doctoral Research Foundation of Liaoning Province(NO:20091012).The financial contributions are gratefully acknowledged.
