PV systems are current and future research focus of new energy power generation. With the further development of microelectronics technology and the further improved photoelectric conversion efficiency, I believe PV systems in practice, in daily lives, will be more and more widely used in the future. By the existing of the photoelectric conversion efficiency, how to improve the energy output of photovoltaic cells is the focus of the study in application area. In this context adaptive control of PV systems that is put forward.In this paper, based on the existing technology put forward two ideas to improve energy efficiency. Firstly, by tracking the angle of the sun to make photovoltaic cells to maximize access to direct sunlight; secondly, the use of the soft load characteristics of inverter switching, the introduction of inverter in the system to change the impedance of system, allows the system to matching impedance in order to gain maximum power point of PV cells.This article first introduced the main part of the composition of PV systems, and provided a detailed description of each module; and then analyzed the electrical characteristics of photovoltaic cells, and based on its electrical characteristics described the existing common algorithm of maximum power point tracking, At the same time based on a number of shortcomings in existing technology put forward a improved algorithm, namely, based on the judgments on the environment, by the combination of a fixed-voltage and admittance increment method to track the maximum power point of PV cells, this method can be rapidly and stably track the maximum power point of PV cells; then introduced the main inverter circuit Cuk circuits, and effective simulation by SIMULINK software with the control strategy in this circuit. This paper designs a set of hardware systems, experiments show that the system can be able to complete the impedance transformation function that can be smoothly completed photovoltaic maximum power tracking.
