With the development of technology, as well as the increasing demand of industrial, large rotating machinery with a high degree of automation and complex structure has been booming.These machinery has become key equipments in the petroleum, chemical, machinery, metallurgy, electric power and other pillar industries. In order to ensure safe operation of these machinery, a variety of monitoring instruments have been successfully developed and has been widely used,and the results are very good. Overall, these diagnostic instruments can be divided into two categories:On-line fault diagnosis system and off-line fault diagnosis system. In this paper, contrary to strengths and weaknesses of these two types of fault diagnosis instrument, a kind of quasi-line fault diagnosis system is designed.The quasi-line fault diagnosis system is mainly applied to machinery those who have not been monitoring by online fault monitoring system, these machinery been regular monitored by the Point-Check instrumentor a portable inspection tour instrument. When a portable diagnostic instrument is used to monitor the machinery, if the test results are abnormal, and fault features is not obvious because of lack of data collection or weaknesses of instrument software,At this time a quasi-line fault diagnosis system can be used in the field for a long time monitoring until the fault of machinery is found.This paper contains mainly of the following:System Function is analyzed.Overall planning of the system is determined. the Development tools are selected and the construction of development environment is done.The system hardware platform is constructed. OMAP5912 microprocessor architecture and features is analyzed.Hardware modules are designed around OMAP5912, including the data acquisition module(sensor, vibration signal conditioning circuit, analog-digital converter, key-phase circuit), storage module, human-computer interaction (LCD display module, keyboard), power module, communication module, the realization of two-machine combination. Software platform based on ARM core is constructed. ARM-core runs an embedded Linux operating system.Driver program is needed to control hardware modules.Working principle of data acquisition module is analyzed,and the driver of data acquisition module is compiled;the driver of LCD display modules and matrix keyboard is compiled. U-Boot and Embedded Linux operating system are modified and compiled.JFFS2 file system is constructed.Embedded Linux operating system and the JFFS2 file system are transplanted on OSK5912 Development Board.
