Studies On Urban Park System In Wuhan City

Urban park is an important part of urban green space, as a subsystem of urban green space system, urban parks system can improve the urban ecological environment, provide a place for recreation, and it is beneficial to balance the stress of urban residents and meet the desire of people that return to nature. However, the urban ecological environment is deteriorating with the rapid expansion of the city, meanwhile, considering the increasing recreation demands of citizens and the outstanding problems that appeared during the park construction, it's urgent for us to optimize the project managing and planning from a macro level, to research the urban park in systemic and comprehensive way, so as to develop the ecological benefits and recreation function of parks.In this paper, we will focus on urban parks of Wuhan, trying to find the main problems exist in urban park of Wuhan, through quantitative analysis on layout and qualitative analysis on function, including:insufficient amount and type of parks, unreasonable distribution, unreasonable construction and management, incomplete park system, etc. Among which the distribution problem is the foremost reason leading to defects of urban park system.To the referred questions, the writer has proposed a series of optimization based on research upon Wuhan green open space and Wuhan Urban Green Space System Planning(2002-2020), including:Broughting the new suburbs green space into the urban park system, to form an urban park type system that composed by the urban park and suburban park; Optimizing the distribution of parks, establish a new distribution as "two aixs, three rings, six inserts,four centres, multi spots, networking", to achieve more reasonable urban park distribution system; Improving the landscape and facility construction of parks, complete legislation support such as policies and statutes, improve supervision system with effective attendance and feedback of the public; Procuring diversity of managing modes as the diversity of park types, optimizing the constructing and managing system of urban parks.
