As a continous belt conveyor transport machinery,is widely used in coal,metallurgy,electric power,chemical,mining,ports,building materials,food and other fields.However,the belt conveyor has been plagued by the failure of its safe,reliable operation.Mine production,particularly in the event of failure ,it will directly affect mine production,or even result in personal injury.Therefore,to ensure the conveyor safe and reliable operation of the mine production safety is of great significance.Steel Core rope belt conveyor use this article as a research object,by analying the failure of its existence,from the three aspects of its by-line study,namely,joint rupture and tension overrun,vertical tear band,belt conveyor fire.Occurred through the fault of its analysis,to explore the mechanism of failure occurred,and then select a viable monitoring method to monitor and prevent them.Papers using embedded systems to design the conveyor protection systems,sele ction of ARM9-based S3C2410 core as a monitoring system,control center ,use of embedded Linux as a system software development platform.On the hardware de sign,according to system needs around the S3C2410 to build a hardeare platform.For the software part,described in detail the general driber design methods and procedures and in accordance with the hardware and embedded Linux system needs,completed the CAN bus,LCD,A/D etc.driver design.Finally,the paper design for the hardware and drivers for the application development and debugging.
