This system is mainly targeted against gear hob, researching on gear hob parameters modeling and simulation system.Research on a set of the hob parameter modeling and simulation systems to engineer designers. The application and realization of the system will contribute to the development of new model production and shorten the product development cycle and reduce product development costs and speed up the upgrading of products.SolidWorks works as a second development platform, VB as a development tool. Take full advantage of SolidWorks API, mainly applies the tension, excision, rotating, scanning and a series of modeling module.Simulation process applies boolean operation.The simulation system automatically activated SolidWorks and inserts the preservation hob and rough entities.Calling the necessary procedures in the SolidWorks API function, based on the input of key parameters, control the movement of tool entities, use Boolean operator, and achieve the removal of tool entities and rough processing entities, which are required for the complex surface. The expression based on the solid modeling methods are the same as the processing line, making the comparison possible between the final outcome of simulation and design of products.The error test take comparison between the designed gear and the gear corresponding processing parameters.Pick up the main points and gets its lenghth between two points and return to the interface.The system takes an example of modeling and simulation of the spur gear, helical gear and the variable gear.Take an error test on the result plane and verifies the feasibility of the system.
