Human hair keratin not only has the characteristics of general keratin, but also has high biological activity 、 low immune rejection and sources almost restrictions characteristics, so it can be as homologous even ontology biological material application. In addition to the use of human hair keratin to manufacture high quality artificial wig can play one protein of natural biocompatibility, and less to the barber shop hair clippings on recycling. Pure law protein film has poor mechanical properties, in order to overcome this shortcoming, adding polyvinyl alcohol in a single human hair membrane protein(PVA),sodium alginate(SA) to improve the performance. Brown algae extract sodium alginate,Polyvinyl alcohol is a non-toxic and non irritating hydrophilic polymer. Adding this two component into hair proteins can retain the properties of the natural, non-toxic, harmless, created excellent blending and cross-linking membrane.Firstly adding human hair keratin into sodium alginate solution, prepared blend membrane, and cross-linking membrance, compare the performance difference. The breaking strength of the cross-linking membranes increased from 173 Mpa to 179 Mpa,which increased by 3.5%; the elongation at break of the membrane increased from 145%to 164%, which increased by 14% besides the mechanical properties of the films increased.Adding polyvinyl alcohol in the first part, to improve the mechanical properties of the membrane, and find the best blend ratio was 8:2:2. In this blend ratio, uniform blend solution and has good fluidity, the fracture strength of the blend membrane 88.6Mpa, the elongation at break was 84.8%, keratin was added to make the mechanical properties of the films decreased; Moisture absorption and moisture retention rate of 18.1 and 74.55%,respectively, to improve the moisture absorption and single keratin membrane. In order to further improve the performance of the blend membrane, we explored the cross-linking process. The experimental samples by mechanical properties, stability, moisture absorption, surface morphology and structure of the infrared test, the experimental results were explained. The best cross-linking process is temperature 30 C,and the time is 3h. After cross-linking,, and compared with the blend film, the elongation at break of the film is increased by 60%, and the breaking strength is increased by 33%.
