In this paper, we have designed and synthesized four novel bis-β-diketone ligands,3,3′-bis(4,4,4-trifluoro-1,3-dioxobutyl)(2,5-dyhydroxy-3,4-epoxy bicycle[2.2.0] furan)(HFBD), 3,3′- bis(4,4,4-trifluoro-1,3-dioxobutyl) Biphenyl(BBT), 5,5′-bis(4,4,4-trifluoro-1,3-dioxobutyl) thiophene(DTT), 5,5′-bis(4,4,4-trifluoro-1,3-dioxobutyl)bithiophene(BTT). According to employ different chirality groups, four bis-β-diketonate lanthenide complexes with chiral helical structure are constructed, in which the ratios of the ligands to the metals are 3:2. Helical chirality of the complexes, and their corresponding chiral optical properties are researched by CD, CPL and other spectral technologies. The detail contents are as following:1. A chiral ligand 3,3′-bis(4,4,4-trifluoro-1,3-dioxobutyl)(2,5-dyhydroxy-3,4-epoxy bicycle[2.2.0] furan)(HFBD) is synthesized by employing isosorbide as a chiral spacer.The binuclear chiral structure of the complex formed by three ligands and two metal ions is characterized using IR, UV, MS and 1H NMR, etc. Photoluminescent properties of the complex are studied by UV, CD spectrum, emission spectra, CPL spectrum and luminescence decay curve. The results show that the introduction of chiral spacer induced chiral optical active of bis-β-diketone ligand. The ground state transition of the ligand, and circularly polarized luminescent properties of Eu(III) ions are characterized by using CD and CPL spectra, respectively.2. Three chiral ligand Eu2(DTT)3(BINAPO)2, Eu2(BTT)3(BINAP)2 and Eu2(BBT)3(BINAPO)2 were synthesized by introducing phosphine oxides auxiliary ligand. The binuclear chiral structure of the complexes formed by three ligands and two metal ions are characterized using IR, UV, MS and 1H NMR, etc. Photoluminescent properties of the complex are studied by UV, CD spectrum, emission spectra, CPL spectrum and luminescence decay curve. The results showed that the introduction of BINAPO auxiliary ligand induced chiral optical active of bis-β-diketone ligand. The ground state transition of the ligand, and circularly polarized luminescent properties of Eu(III) ions are characterized by using CD and CPL spectra, respectively.
