HAZOP analysi s is accor ding to scientific procedures and met hods, predict and val ue the potentially dangerous engineer ing project or production starting from the perspective of system, identify the insuffici ent which exis t in product design and maintenance procedures, and suggest improvement s and measures to improve the safety and opera bil ity of the process equipment, and provide the basis for formulating basis disaster prevention and control measure s and deci sion of emergency plans.Methyl isobut yl ketone equipment was founded in April 2004; the des ign production capac it y is 15,000 tons / year. It was put into operation i n May 2005. The devi ce was onl y put into general job ri sk as sessment of t he product ion process,moreover the device itself has not been carried out syst ematic proce s s hazard analysis,the work of recogniti on is not deep enough and comprehe nsive so t hat bring greater threat to the device. For this purpose, the Jil in Petrochemical Company Fine Chemicals Factory decided to set up a special working group HAZOP using HAZOP method to make a hazard analysi s for methyl i sobutyl ketone, completely recognize the risk assessment processes that exist in pl ant operat ion, put forward the operational and enforceable improvements which supplement t he ge neral operating risk in order to increase the level of intri nsic safet y devi ce.The HAZOP analysi s of t he main work is as follows :1. Collect P & ID diagrams, data tables, the production uni t plan and process of training l esson plans of methyl isobutyl ketone means and other key materials required for HAZOP anal ysis;2. Learn and familiar wi th the process of methyl i sobutyl ketone, according to the plant proces s overall design intent, t he device is divided into nine nodes of P & ID,methyl isobut yl ketone reaction units divided four nodes, acetone disti llat ion unit divided two nodes, met hyl isobut yl ketone finished unit divided the two nodes,acetone recovery unit divided a node;3. Discuss eac h node process design int ent, use guide words / deviat ions, i denti fy al l the caus es of deviations and det ermine the consequences of each deviation;4. Completely analysi s for each cause of deviation and conseque nces according to the Jilin Petrochemical Com pany ris k matri x, and value the analysi s of the consequenc es of deviations risk assessment, di vide t he risk level.5. The harm which cause by deviation is unacc eptable, and i n ex isting situation which means the protection measures would not be enough, we should put forward recom menda ti ons of increasing t he prot ection measures to reduce or elim inat e the remaining risks.HAZOP anal ysis to fruition:The HAZOP analysis put forwa rd some problem and 24 proposed m eas ures in 4aspect s which are about inst rument control and interlock of methyl isobut yl ketone,equi pment and faciliti es integr ity, process control, securi ty management. To better HAZOP analys is will be applied to producti on practice, the workshop or production management depar tments, set up a special working group to supervise the issue rai sed in HAZOP analys is and improvement suggestions or resolved measures.Currently, methyl isobut yl ketone and related production department are implementing the recom mendations raised by the HAZOP analys is, in order to achieve the desired objectives and increase the l evel of safe operation.
