Acetone Synthesis Of Methyl Isobutyl Ketone, The Reaction Process

The synthesis of methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) from acetone by a one-step process was studied.After some research of this field were summaried, the catalyst for the reaction was ublained. The high activity, long-life span, stability and application for industry modified Pd/Al2O3 catalyst was found.The influence of reaction temperature, pressure velocity and ratio of reactant for the yield and selection was discussed , then the optimum condition was determined..The kinetics of the reaction was studied. The kinetic model was proposed and the kinetics in optimum condition was determined, the effection of diffusion was discussed.
