This paper mainly studied the wool rapid shrink-proof method via protease. In order to solve the current wool protein enzymatic preshrunk process time consuming, complex and difficult to industrialization, integrated catalytic system was built by using the synergy of enzyme activator-610 and protease, the surface of wool scales were modified, and the objective of shrink-proof wool was rapidly achieved via the synergetic effect between a protease and its bio-enzyme activator-610.Pad-steaming process. The enzyme activator-610 and protease 8.0 T was used to achieve the wool rapid shrink-proof. Through the single factor and orthogonal experiments, optimal shrink-proof effect was obtained after the wool fiber sample was processed under the optimized treating condition, i.e, the concentrations of enzyme activator and protease 8.0 T were 5g/L and 3g/L respectively, penetrating agent was lg/L, processing temperature was 50℃, with the wet pickup ratio of 120%. The first and second steaming time is 5 minutes and the third time the steaming time is 8 minutes. After the optimal process treatment fiber can meet the requirements of preshrunk. The resultant wool sample maintained 83.25% and 64.77% of its control sample in terms of tenacity and extension@ break, respectively. Weight loss rate was 6.87%.Rapid continue padding method. Integrated catalytic system was composed of enzyme activator-610, protease 16L and penetrating agent. Wool scales were stripped to meet the preshrunk requirements in the form of multiple continuous pad by using the integrated catalytic system. The enzyme activator-610, protease 16L and penetrating agent composed of integrated catalytic system. Through the single factor and orthogonal experiments, optimal shrink-proof effect was obtained after the wool fiber sample was processed in the enzymatic solution for 2.5min at 50 ℃ under the optimized treating condition, i.e, the concentrations of protease and enzyme activator-610 were 1.3g/L and 2.5g/L respectively, A total number of pad was 5 times with the frequency of pad of 30 seconds at a time. The scale become smooth and the edges and corners of scales was pruned after the optimal process treatment. It can meet the requirements of preshrunk. The processed fiber strength retained 77.26% and the elongation retained 72.93%.Using method of continuous fast pad, further large-scale protease treatment to wool top was performed and the test result for shrinkage rate was not greater than 8% based on the shrink-proof standard test method of IWS TM31(5×5A), the resultant wool sample maintained 82.30% of its control sample in terms of tenacity.Continuous padding process reagent dosage is small, low cost, simple process, low requirements for equipment. And it can continuous operation. So it is expected to replace the existing technology of chlorinated method. It is a kind of to meet the requirements of environmental biological treatment process, because it can avoid the environmental pollution problems caused by the chlorination process.
