In the paper, the volatile oil and polyphenols were separated from Tsaoko, which was planted in Nujiang Yunnan province, by processes of supercritical CO2 extraction and solvent extraction. And the polyphenols’antioxidant capacity was studied. The followings are results:1) The Tsaoko’s volatile oil was extracted through supercritical fluid CO2 extraction with oil extraction rate as the main indicator and the oil extraction rate in the best operating conditions was 5.4%.The components of the volatile oil was analysised by GC-MS;2) The solubility of the main ingredients of the volatile oil in the Supercritical CO2 was calculated by the Guassian and COSMOtherm, then butanol was selected as an entrainer and experimented with oil extraction rate as the main indicator. The components of the volatile oil extracted with the entrainer was analyzed by GC-MS;3) The Tsaoko powder which had been extracted by supercritical CO2 used as the raw material to extract polyphenols by the solvent extraction and the polyphenol extraction rate in the best indicator was 9.96%;4) The antioxidant capacity of volatile oil and ethanol extracts was evaluated by the DPPH radical scavenging, ABTS radical scavenging capacity and ferric reducing ability. The result was that the antioxidant ability of the ethanol extracts was significantly higher than the volatile oil, which DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging were better.
