The nickel porphyrins in Liaohe Atmospheric Residue Oi(lLHAR)and its fractions were separated by improved solvent-extraction, and purified by Silica gel Column Chromatography and TLC in this study. And then these metallic compounds were identified by Ultraviolet-visible Spectrophotometry (UV-vis) and Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance-Mass Spectrometry(FT-ICRMS). Besides, LHAR and its asphaltene were pretreated under different conditions to obtain more metallic compounds.Improved separation result showed that nickel in LHAR, LHAR Resins and LHAR asphaltene were 26.15%, 36.36% and 5.05% repectively. But the separation resule reached to 43.93% and 9.48% after LHAR and its asphaltene being pretreated under different conditions.Identification results suggested that Nickel compounds separated from LHAR and its fractions were mainly DPEP(C26~C46) porphyrin and ETIO(C26~C38) porphyrin. In the DPEP porphyrin, C31-DPEP and C32-DPEP were abundant, In the ETIO porphyrin, C30-ETIO was abundant, Besides, Di-DPEP, RHODO-DPEP and RHODO-Di-DPEP porphyrins were also verified to existence. The molecular weight of Nickel porphyrins which seprated from resins and asphaltene were similar,and RHODO-DPEP type of prophyrin was discovered in asphaltene,and its molecular weight accorded to 388+14n(n=11~14).Another two types of porphyrins which were RHODO-ETIO porphyrin and RHODO- Di-DPEP porphyrin were discovered after LHAR and its asphaltene being pretreated under different conditions. It showed that these two types of porphyrins exited in LHAR by strong association effect.
