The five-axis linkage Nc machining technology is the important foundation of mechanical processing, is one of the important marks of a national industrial modernization level, also is the important mean to realize high precision and high efficiency. Along with the development of Nc technology in our country, the processing equipment of five-axis Nc technology is being perfected. At present, our country don't have economical and reliable wheel hub polishing equipment, The wheel hub manufacturer have to import the expensive multi-axis Nc polishing machine and Nc polishing processing software, these make the production cost greatly increased, also relatively restrict the development of Nc processing industry. Therefore, in order to meet the demands of wheel hub polishing processing technology in our country, the main research content in this paper is using five-axis linkage Nc polishing machine to realize polishing processing of Automobile hub surface. To realize wheel hub polishing processing have important significance.In this paper, based on the five-axis Nc programming theory, analyse wheel hub complex surface and Nc polishing machine movement structure, get the five-axis linkage polishing processing program. First, using the multi-axis milling method create tool trajectory under UG/CAM processing environment, and produce cutter location files(CLFS), simulate the tool movement path and the real processing under 3D dynamic and 2D dynamic, testing cutter and wheel hub processing surface whether collision and after cutting, etc at the same time. Then put the tool-position movement data produced in lead-processing convert to designated machine Nc program. Setting parameters under the UG/Post Builder, according to structure and kinematic transformation of the machine for rearmounted algorithm solving and get coordinates transformation formula. Create coordinate transformation interface by VB language, realize the automatic conversion of Nc program. Last, put Nc program leading-in five-axis linkage Nc polishing machine to process actually, eventually validate correctness of lead-processing and post-processing.The research results of this paper laid the foundation for realize the five-axis linkage Nc polishing processing technology of wheel hub, it has important reference effect to the development of polishing processing technology in the production of wheel hub of our country.
