With the development of optoelectronics, optical components in the aerospace, military, medical, communications, and a series of science and technology play a key role even decisive, Non-Rotationally Symmetric Surface (NRS) component has become indispensable , the key components for optoelectronic products. However, the existing manufacturing technology of NRS component cost a long time and money. Therefore, the high precision and low cost of processing constraints NRS components as key to the development of optoelectronics. Design and development of a large stroke Fast Tool Servo (FTS), using the diamond turning method become the core technology to resolve the problem of NRS surface manufacturing. The main research topic is to design a large stroke, high frequency, high stiffness FTS system from the FTS design theory, and application of progressive multifocal lens processing.This paper studies the mechanism of FTS processing first, getting the main design parameters, and on the acceleration and bandwidth, a detailed description. Second, design and comparison the structure of the large stroke FTS , summed up the general design method of large stroke FTS. And on this basis, designed two large stroke FTS meeting different conditions.In the process of design large stroke FTS-â… used for making progressive spectacle lenses, from core component of sliding bed structure beginning, obtained its structure by topology optimization, and using ANSYS soft for the static and dynamic characteristics of the key sliding bed. For the convenience of manufacture and assemble of FTS, design and analysis structure of the sliding bed fastening. Finally check the design of the flotation device, the structure and mathematical model of the system is modeled. As the motor is connected with the slide, heat can not be ignored, by FTS thermal-structural coupled analysis, design of the heat insulation device.In the large stroke FTS-â… system design process, get a lot of new ideas, in view of this, design a second set of sophisticated, large stroke FTS-â…¡. Second program, also starting from the slide structure, meet the design requirements of the case, further reducing overall system size, quality . And in this scenario, design a balanced system of inertia, by the simulation analysis of the balance device, the final results are satisfactory.
